The Women's International Film & Television Showcase (TheWIFTS Foundation)
TheWIFTS Showcase will recognize & promote innovative women filmmakers and keep the ideals of equality
flowing by fostering the promotion of women in all sectors of society through the Art form of Film, the
visual communicator of the 21st century.
TheWIFTS Foundation International Visionary Awards
TheWIFTS Foundation is dedicated to increasing public
awareness of the accomplishments achieved by women
whose unwavering dedication to their aspirations transcends
economic and cultural divides to effectuate lasting
impressions on society.
The Foundation will recognize innovative, creative, and
inspiring women from around the world and keep the ideals of
equality in gender by fostering the promotion of women in
all sectors of society through the Art Form of Film & Television,
the Visual Communicator of the 21st Century.
To embrace this ethos, TheWIFTS Foundation
has also established
The International Visionary Awards
honoring women from all walks of life
Mission Statement
To honor outstanding women who continue to "raise the bar" in
their respective fields. The Foundation will research noteworthy, unknown
or known individuals who have made a difference in their respective communities
but have yet to be acknowledged and commended for their
extraordinary efforts and positive impact on our society.
These individuals will be honored at
The International Visionary Awards, an annual event.
Certainly, there are many award programs already in existence,
such as the Academy awards, the Emmys, etc. -
these award programs recognize individuals who excel in the
fields of acting, writing, directing, production, and numerous other
categories in film and television.
The Foundation is quite different in that it will honor
well-deserving women of any field or profession.
In doing so, such women will be motivated and empowered to continue
their outstanding work for the benefit of all. Additionally, such recognition
of the work done by these women will perpetuate the awareness of the
important issues and challenges that confront us all - hopefully stimulating
others to take on similar universal issues.
